Commercial relationships (advertising, featured placements, sponsored content) are handled by a separate team and are never disclosed to our editorial researchers before or during the ranking process.

Accuracy

We verify all claims that can be verified. Unverifiable claims are either excluded or clearly labeled as estimates or self-reported information. When we make errors, we publish corrections promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted in the article with the correction date.

Transparency

Consumer First

When a contractor asks us to change a ranking or remove a critical assessment, our default answer is no unless we find a factual error. Pricing estimates are reviewed semi-annually per market and adjusted for local cost of living. We do not guarantee that any contractor will match our estimated price ranges.

Rankings

Rankings reflect our six-factor scoring methodology applied to publicly available and directly verified information. Rankings change when underlying data changes — for example, when a contractor's license status changes, when review patterns shift significantly, or when new verification information emerges. We do not freeze rankings to protect commercial relationships.

Business Information

Contact information, addresses, service areas, and business hours are sourced from publicly available sources and are verified at publication. We update this information on a scheduled basis and in response to corrections. We do not guarantee real-time accuracy of business information — always confirm directly with a contractor before scheduling service.

FAQs and Consumer Guides

Our FAQ and guide content reflects the state of industry best practices and local regulations at the time of writing. This content is reviewed and updated annually or when significant changes occur (new building codes, licensing requirement changes, new materials or technologies entering the market).

Commercial and Sponsored Content Policy

Versiii generates revenue through sponsored placements, featured listings, and affiliate partnerships. These commercial arrangements are governed by strict separation from editorial content:

• All sponsored or featured content is labeled with clear visual indicators
• Sponsored placements do not affect editorial ranking positions
• Advertisers may not request removal of editorial content as a condition of advertising

• No contractor may purchase positive editorial coverage
